The Urban Youth Entrepreneurship Program is helping students explore their interest in pursuing a career in business and learn more about life. Our mission is to provide opportunity for students in poverty stricken communities and develop ethical leaders for a global society.

In the last several years Five Points Youth Foundation have re-focused their time and energy to social entrepreneurship for youth. We are living in a time where this generation is entrepreneurial driven and are more than qualified to start and run their own businesses. Unfortunately, not all students have the same opportunity – that is where the Urban Youth Entrepreneurship Program comes into play. Our focus is on entrepreneurial development specifically to high-school aged teenagers in urban areas. The program will consists of business workshops, hands-on business planning and an end-of-program project that will allow a select few to run and manage a franchise business. The goal of the program is to shift the mindset of these young adults and prepare them for the business oriented world.

Program Summary:

  • Interactive class discussions and guest speakers that will challenge you to think critically about social issues and motivate you to be a change maker for your community. You will design your own social venture to gain the experience to build an effective organization from the grown up.
  • Hands-on workshops that will develop your communication skills, build your confidence and challenge you to think on your feet. These active and engaging sessions will teach you the real world tools you will need for success.
